19.5 Weeks - Activity Rest

^^This dress isn't maternity, I actually bought it for postpartum, but it's super stretchy and even has pockets!!  It's from Sexy Modest and comes in 12 colors!

My age: 32

How far along: 19 weeks 5 days

How big is baby:  At our 19 week ultrasound baby measured 50%, but I can't remember how many ounces that was.  She did say banana-esq tho.

What have you been up to:  Just working and hanging out with the fam as it starts to warm up outside.  Summer is getting close!  It was already in the 80s by 8:30 this morning.  In April!  I also have been pretty tired lately thus added caffeine into my diet (oh I've missed you caffeine).

Exercise/Activity Level: Eh, not so good.  Found out I have a low placenta (1 cm) so I am on activity/pelvic rest and am only allowed to walk.  The crazy thing is I have been trying different classes out, and since I have already had Braxton Hicks, I have always felt uncomfortable/leery about pushing myself as hard as I did during my first pregnancy when I Crossfitted.  I just hadn't yet found the right fitness class "fit" for this pregnancy, if you will.  Turns out it is a really good thing I haven't been working out everyday, especially running.  So I have another ultrasound next month to see if it has moved up at all...it needs to be at 2-1/2 cm minimum, and my doctor is optimistic.

^^Working out.  Aka walking.  Around our apartment complex.  :P

Maternity clothes: Yup, although I can still wear longer shirts.  My hips are already too wide for most pants unless they're stretchy.

Stretch marks: Nope

Belly Button: In

Sleep:  In the last couple of weeks I started sleeping on my sides which has taken a lot of adjusting!  I have had hip pain that wakes me up which I never had with Bentz.  It appears it may be a common thing, but it's pretty annoying.

Best Moment of the Week:
Anatomy scan!  Having the family there and seeing little baby!  Also getting the gender noted and put in an envelope to carry around and wonder what it says inside.  As I speak it is five feet away taunting me.

^^Boy or girl?  We still think boy and pretty much have a boy's name decided.

Worst Moment of the Week:  Finding out that I can't do anything, but at least I am not on bed rest.

Food cravings:  Still grapefruit juice.

Food aversions:  I am doing pretty well here!  I don't want to crock pot yet, but I made a meal plan for next week for the first time in forever.

Symptoms:  Mostly just tired and still throwing up in the mornings, but I do feel like a new person these days.

Movement: Yes, lots.  I love it!

Gender:  Finding out on the 29th, right after the Mt. Charleston race.

What I’m looking forward to: Finding out the gender!

What I’m nervous about/praying for:  That our house won't sell in time for the baby.  Things in our area have been moving pretty slow and our estimate was 70 days (which we're almost half way through), but last summer two of our neighbor's homes sold in FIVE months, which we don't have!  It is a bit stressful for Ben and me.

What I miss:  Mostly running.  I do talk it about it pretty much daily still, and dream of the race I'll be spectating next weekend.

Next appointment:  23 weeks, hopefully my placenta has moved up so I won't stress about it.  At least I already opted for another C section, so that part isn't stressful for me.

EaStEr TiMe

Every year gets more fun as B3 gets familiar with holiday traditions.  This year he got his first for reals egg hunt at Emilneenee's house which made his whole week!

No smiles, just candy.

Emily and Izzy put together an egg hunt and each person looked for a specific color which I thought was just genius.  They even had personal notes in some of them which was thoughtful and not something my left brain would have ever thought of doing.

Camping at Lake Roosevelt

We went camping the other weekend at Lake Roosevelt, which is this massive, massive lake that is never that crowded, it's insane!  It's just under a 2:00 drive and makes me want to become a frequent visitor.  I grew up where you would get up suuuuper early to hit any smooth water because every lake would get so choppy with boats, but here you don't seem to have to do that.

We had perfect weather, somewhere low 80s and cloudy this day.

We were in a campground (with actual flushing toilets wahoo), but there was nobody around us which was nice.

Ben made tinfoil dinners for everyone and they were so tasty.

It was Bentz's first time camping and he was in heaven playing in the rocks/dirt, and had zero hesitation about zonking out in the tent.  In the middle of the night we awoke to a ton of coyotes right outside our tents, just howling/screaming for like 10 minutes, it was getting so obnoxious.  Bentz even woke up and was like.. "baby...?"  :P  But at least they weren't bears (and Rykar was safely inside the tent, never even awakening... good time to be deaf :).

Ben's brother has this sail boat he wanted to launch, so the next day we hit the lake for a little while.  I didn't bring a swimsuit so I wasn't exactly prepared, but it was relaxing to just sit back and watch.

The water is high so the beach is not really existent in many locations.

Bentz could hit the water with his rocks, so it looks like I need to find him a teeball team asap.

ALL tuckered out.

32 while 32 ✓✓  Fun trip with the fam, we need to plan a few more spontaneous ones.

PS.  Happy Easter!!

17.5 Weeks - I'm bigger this time.

My age: 32

How far along: 17 weeks 6 days

How big is baby: 5-1/2 inches-ish, bell pepper size

What have you been up to:  Same old stuff, really.  I am growing much faster this time around and don't think I was this big until week 26 last time.  With baby #1 you want a bump so bad and it takes forever, with subsequent babies you want to stay small longer and you don't.  lol

Exercise/Activity Level:  I randomly went back to Zumba last week and found a new gym with a great instructor!!  It was so fun that I think I'm going to do that for the next little bit and just tone it down to low-impact as needed.

Maternity clothes:  Yes ma'am.  Just bought a belly band too.

Stretch marks:  Nope

Belly Button:  In

Sleep:  Unisom is my bff

Best Moment of the Week:  I'd say camping with the family and watching B3 experience it all!  He had so much fun playing in the dirt/rocks/with family, etc.  To be honest, I was not really looking forward to it because I still throw up everyday, etc., and it sounded like a lot of work, but it turned out to be fun and the fresh air helped!

Worst Moment of the Week:  The camping nighttime bathroom trips.  hahaha  I'd wake up and lay there for an hour trying to convince myself I really didn't need to go, it was just in my head.  The thing is we all woke up to a herd of coyotes howling in our campsite (they make crazy weird screaming noises) which was terribly freaky to go outside alone afterwards.  I got three hours of sleep.

Food cravings:  Grapefruit juice.  I could drink that by the gallon!  Also the new Garden Fresh mild mango salsa from Costco.  It's amazing.

Food aversions:  Just stinky food, although I told Ben I'm ready to try some cooking this week.

Symptoms:  Nausea, rib pain, oily skin, and I just felt my first round ligament pains which I never had with B3.  I have had Braxton Hicks already, which I read start earlier with each child, but kind of freaky.

Movement:  Yes!  I felt around 16 weeks.  Baby loves to dance after grapefruit juice.  Ben says, "I would too. ..GROSS!!"

Gender:  TBD this month

What I’m looking forward to:  Finding out the gender!

What I’m nervous about/praying for:  That we'll not be moved by the time baby comes and baby will have colic and cry so much we'll get kicked out of our little apartment.  The scenarios of a pregnant mind.

What I miss:  Running (I have picked my next full marathon, Mt. Charleston next spring!!), over caffeinating myself, not looking like a whale, smaller boobs...which goes along with the whale thing.

Next appointment:  Wednesday the 19th, 19 weeks, anatomy scan day!  And gender day, but I will be carrying an envelope with the gender in it around with me for a couple of weeks because we're finding out with the family.

The lack of normalcy is wearing on me.

Last night I was pulling into my reserved parking spot, which required me to swing out wide to turn right into it, so I did just that.  At the same time a big truck was backing out of a spot a few spaces down, so after I swung my car wide, I stopped to just let the truck pass me on the right side so I wouldn't cut in front of him as I parked.  You never know, people are crazy, I can wait a few seconds.  Well he didn't pass me, he pulled right up to the front of my car and threw his hands up cuz I was just in his freaking way.

Um jerk.

So I put my blinker on to show that I was waiting for him to pass so I could park and that I wasn't from Europe just cruising the wrong side of the road.

He threw his hands up, goes around me, and flips me off suuuuper angrily.

I drew you a diagram in autocad because it's very important.

I usually am the timid-afraid-I'll-get-shot-so-I-am-a-peacemaker-and-back-down type, but I almost ALMOST followed him since for once I was sans child.  Had he been parking instead of leaving I would have gone irrationally pregnant CRAZY on him so he's lucky.

I was on my way home from the worst Hip Hop class on planet earth so I wasn't in a great mood to begin with (I miss running so much, it is my sanity).  I went to this class which ended up being in a sketchy area, but I still gave it a chance.  Once I got in there I realized it was not going to be for me, but then I was afraid to leave early and walk to my car alone so I stuck it out.  lol

Life does not seem to be normal these days, everything about it is just feels off!  Including my hormones.  We have been in this transition period for almost a month and we're doing better than when we started, but I am yearrrrning for normalcy again, and my less stressed, happy go bubbly, energized self.  Maybe pregnancy isn't the best time to sell your house?

What does sound nice is a relaxing day at the beach.  Or a nice long run [at the beach?].

2-1/2+ years of our B3!

I just want to do a shout out on this little guy right here since we only have so many months left with him as our only.  He is so sweet to his mommy and brings me so much joy!  I worried how pregnancy would be while simultaneously caring for a toddler, but he has been sweet, concerned when I'm sick, and makes me laugh so much!!

A million about-hims:

I took him to the pool last month and he saw it and said, "DRINK!!"

Obsessed with trains, "too toooooo," all things airplanes, cars, trucks, buses, hot air balloons, police cars and so forth.

Wakes up each morning, opens our blinds, points to the other units and says, "HOUSE!!"

Thinks every phone call I take is "dadda," and talks the entire time I am trying to, so phone calls are a little difficult to take.

Loves the movie CARS but also has been enjoying Moana lately.

Back sleeping in our bed at night and napping in his crib since his bed is, well, not here.  :P

Has been calling dinosaurs "cookies" for awhile, and at this point I'm not sure how we went so wrong.  lol  He knows what real cookies are, but when he sees a dinosaur he says, "cookies raaar."

Struggled to adjust the first few days to a small living space but I think having grandma (my mom) come visit, really helped him and he has been a lot better.

LOVES grandma and Hanging Out with her on Google.  He knows the Hang Out ring and starts freaking out, "gamma gamma!!"

Has a major sweet tooth (gee I wonder where he got that) and wants juice all day everyday.  I don't let him have it until dad is home, so as soon as dad walks in the door Bentz is like, "daddaa...juuuuice.!!"  :P

Loves to play pretend with all of his cars and Cars movie cars.  It's pretty cute, he talks and talks and babbbbles and goes on and on!!

He is soooo friendly and vocal and when he's with other kids he out talks them 500%.  Most of the time they don't say much but he's just so excited to have friends and be playing.  Once I took him to the park and there was nobody there so he just hung out by me, but when some kids showed up he just ran to them and started talking.  They were a little older (maybe 8-9?) and had no interest in him  :(  but he didn't understand that and just kept following them, chatting, sooo thrilled.

Always wants to "go oside!"  Then when you take him outside he wants to get in the car and go on a drive.  He loves being outside and in the car.

Pretends to throw up whenever he sees a bowl around the house.  :P

Loves to dance to anything:  washing machine rhythm, neighboring music, me beatboxing.

Will be in bed late at night, lights out, and hear a car zooming down the street and be like "CAAARRR!!!"

Likes to hold my hand while we go on walks.  :D

Hates the bath.  Is always cold because he's definitely my child.

Sometimes won't leave the dog alone (Rykar) which is a problem for a blind/deaf dog in a little apartment.  I am often putting the baby gate up to keep them separated.

Always wants toys when we go to the store and I say no and he has a meltdown so I give him to Ben, to which Ben gives him like five toys.  hahaha   #funparent

Still drinks Pediasure in the morning and wakes up and wants his juice.  "duuuuuce."

Loves to kiss me and be sweet.

Requires shoes when he gets dressed in the morning.  It used to be slippers, but he's mostly moved on to the real deal.

Has not yet graduated to books with paper pages because he destroys them.  He is all about peeling every type of sticker off even the hardest to peel surfaces, so even the hard paged books still are being destroyed.  He's very analytical,... and destructive.

Has to sit by me while I work.  Likes to push my lamp buttons on-off-on-off-on-off and cover my desk with cars and trucks.

Whenever he sees a white vehicle like my brother and sister in-law's white cube, he says "Emillneenee!!"
Apparently this looks like the white Cube.  lol ^^

Puts his finger to his lips and says "shhh."  It's more like a "tssss" sound.  :D

Likes to ride his little car to the store so we do that and put it in the cart.

Is still not a foodie and once I found he had stuffed his lunch in Mr. Potato Head after being so pleased hours earlier that he had eaten all of it!

His thank you sounds like "dee saw!!"  He's been saying it for a long long time and I think it's adorable.  He says DEE SAW to everything!  Open the door for him, DEESAW!, get him a drink, DEESAW, do anything involving him, DEESAW!!!

Still loves to organize and line everything up.

Is just stinking adorable and we love him!!!
