Newport Beachiness

The best part of vacation is relaxing.  (Or the idea of relaxing. lol!)  I LOVE the ocean!  I love to watch, listen, and think about how amazing and eerily massive it is.

I don't particularly like to get in it.  I have always been terrified of jellyfish and finally got in years ago telling myself my fear was unfounded and stupid, and ended up with a jellyfish on my arm not even five minutes later, BUT the ocean is still magical to me.

But beachside.
This was where Bentz's fear of water disappeared.  I think he has just been afraid of being cold, but there was no way around being cold here if he wanted to play.  He just had to get over it.  And thanks to Matt, James, my dad, etc., he ended up loving it!  It was probably high 70s temps and the water was freezing, so that is major progress.  And now he loves the pool at home.
Dallin missed the family picture because he was taking a test.  Thank goodness for technology, he could test from Newport Beach.
The weather was that perfect temperature where you could wear a hoodie or you could lay out and just be a tad cold.  That ocean breeze is nice.
Let's go fly a kite, up to the highest height, let's go fly a kite and send it soaring.

Up through the atmosphere, up where the air is clear, oh let's goooo fly a kite.
We walked to the end of the pier while Ben ran the boardwalk.  We actually walked like three or more miles like so, I should have worn better walking shoes because #blisters.  But I like the June gloom stuff going on, it was a fun way to wake up.
Best grandpa ever!!
^^This.  I did not lay out, but THAT IS OKAY.  I would rather play with my sweet boys.  <3  But I didn't leave as tan as I would have imagined.  lol

Newport Beach is my favorite place in the US.  If the traffic didn't suck, we'd maybe find a way to live there.  I had the best childhood /adolescence ever, but can you imagine one on the beach?

Cannot wait to go back!
